Timothy Christopher, M.D., FACS, has a special interest in robotic surgery and minimally invasive surgery. He specializes in weight loss surgery, heartburn surgery, endocrine surgery, breast surgery and general surgery. He is a member of the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Medical Association State of Alabama.
At an early age, Dr. Christopher felt called to the field of medicine through a desire to make a difference. He earned a medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. As he progressed through medical training, he fell in love with surgery as it allowed him to develop highly technical skills that demand excellence. He went on to complete a general surgery residency at Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Alabama.
Throughout his career, Dr. Christopher has had the privilege of witnessing the transformation patients experience through life-changing surgical procedures. He strives to be an advocate for his patients, ensuring the highest standards of surgical care guided by compassion and respect. Andrew Frey, D.O., specializes in both general and bariatric surgery and is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the Clinical Robotic Surgery Association, Southeastern Surgical Congress and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Frey attended William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS, where he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. He completed his surgery residency at Brookwood Baptist Health System in Birmingham, AL, where he served as chief surgery resident.
His special interests include robotic surgery, minimally invasive weight loss surgery, endocrine surgery, breast surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgeries of the spleen, pancreas, colon, gallbladder and abdominal wall. Procedures in these areas include gastric sleeve, surgery for heartburn (reflux disease), thyroid and parathyroid, hernia and hiatal hernia repair, lumpectomy with sentinel lymph node biopsy and mastectomy.
John G. Touliatos, M.D., specializes in both general and bariatric surgery and is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and a Member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
Dr. Touliatos earned a medical degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis School of Medicine. He completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the University of Kansas Health System. With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Touliatos has expertise in a variety of surgical specialties, including advanced laparoscopic surgery, laparoscopic bariatric surgery and robotic surgery.
His special interests include weight loss surgery, laparoscopic foregut surgery and general surgeries of the gallbladder, colon, spleen, pancreas and adrenal glands. Procedures in these areas include gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, hernia and hiatal hernia repair, surgery for heartburn (reflux disease), advanced laparoscopic surgery for solid organs and appendectomies.
Barton S. Wood, M.D., specializes in both general and bariatric surgery and is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Robotic Surgeons and a member of the American Hernia Society, and a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).
Dr. Wood attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his surgery residency at the University of South Alabama. With more than 15 years of experience, he has expertise in a variety of surgical specialties, including robotic and advanced laparoscopic surgery.
His special interests include robotic surgery, minimally invasive weight loss surgery, endocrine surgery, breast surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgeries of the spleen, pancreas, colon, gallbladder and abdominal wall.
