Todd Belott, M.D., specializes in both general and bariatric surgery and is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a fellow of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS).
With almost 17 years of experience, he has expertise in a variety of surgical specialties, including advanced laparoscopic surgery, laparoscopic bariatric surgery and robot-assisted surgery. His special interests include bariatric surgery, bariatric revision, surgery for heartburn/reflux disease, minimally invasive hernia repair and complex abdominal wall reconstruction.
As Lake Granbury Medical Center's mariatric medical director, Dr. Belott was instrumental in leading the team that achieved The Joint Commission Bariatric Care Certification in 2019. Prior to joining the medical staff at Lake Granbury Medical Center, Dr. Belott served as a surveyor for the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), an organization that certifies the quality and safety of care of hospitals and surgery centers through its accreditation program, which includes a rigorous review process. Dr. Belott is the acting president of the Louisiana chapter of the ASMBS.
